The world of e-commerce offers endless options at our fingertips. Still, shoppers are finding it increasingly difficult to commit to a purchase. Rather than buying on the spot, shoppers often resort to "adding to favorites" or "adding to cart" for later. Wisket saw this as a growing constraint — favoriting is limited to individual retail sites, and consumers often abandon their carts. Meaning consumers aren't able to manage all their favorites in one place while avoiding having their carts wiped clean. Wisket and Majestyk joined together to create a mobile platform as a solution and to improve the online shopping experience.
Majestyk worked closely with the Wisket team to build a mobile app that would streamline everything from signup to adding items and making a purchase. This platform will change how users shop and save them time and money.
Saving, searching, and adding items from any online retailer is a standard in this product landscape. We made it easy for users to do so in and outside the app. We also wanted to encourage creativity and functionality, so we allowed users to build custom collections and add items to their cart when they're ready to buy.
Focusing on existing features wasn't enough to differentiate Wisket from its main competitors. Deep research and survey observations led us to identify two primary areas of opportunity. First, the app displays the total cost of all saved items. Competitors don't have this functionality, which remains a pain point for online shoppers. While seemingly simple in functionality, this feature allows users to see totals for the individual collections they create and ultimately provides them with deeper personalization.
Second, we have reminder emails and notifications. This particular feature is inspired by eCommerce sites that send out cart abandonment emails, back-in-stock items, and price drop alerts. The notification system was designed to drive user engagement and provide users with the friendly reminders they're used to from their favorite retailers, all in one place.
Share and send your saved items or collections to all your friends and family. We want everyone to enjoy Wisket! Guests can view them without the need to set up an account or download the app, which means you can get the things you want faster.
We tapped into the power of brand archetypes to help define Wisket’s vision. Like other brand archetypes, Wisket had a desire to create something universal. They wanted to develop a brand that embodied timeless qualities that were easy for people to recognize and comprehend.
As the Creator archetype, we explored a design language that felt innovative and entrepreneurial. We kept Wisket’s idealogy in mind throughout the process to create something playful, modern, friendly, and approachable.
We implemented web scraping to provide the most robust solution allowing Wisket to work with as many retailers as possible. Utilizing automated tools allowed us to quickly extract the relevant data we needed (like price, sizing and product descriptions) and display them within the app in real time.
For some major retailers, web scraping isn’t an option. As a workaround, direct API integrations were built to look up products by SKU or ID so users can see them within the Wisket app.

Wisket also tasked us with designing, building, and launching their marketing website. We aimed to attract potential users and educate them on Wisket’s best features. We kept the brand’s energy throughout the site and added QR codes to desktop displays for users to quickly download the app on their iOS devices.
